Meitheal Mara is inviting applications for the position of Boat Yard Assistant. The position would suit a person with basic skills in wood working and an interest in boat building who wishes to gain experience in a busy workshop and further develop their skills. The person appointed will gain training and progression opportunities with a range of boat building and wood working techniques, such as:
- Working with Hand Tools
- Wood Work
- Wood Turning
- Boat Building techniques
The position is part-time (19.5 hours/week) with a fixed contract up to 31/12/2022 in the first instance. It is co-funded by the Government’s Community Services Programme and is open only to applicants who meet certain criteria.
