We’re thrilled to announce that the next Interfirm Dragon Boat Challenge will take place on Saturday 12th of April!

Twice a year, companies, groups and organisations battle it out in this high-energy race on the River Lee. With 17 participants per crew, you’ll power 250m from the iconic Port of Cork sign to the Lapp’s Quay Boardwalk, all to the pounding beat of the dragon’s drum. No experience needed—just teamwork, determination and plenty of spirit! A pre-race training session will be held in the two weeks before race day, ensuring your crew is ready to compete.

Supported by teams from Pfizer and Amazon to Cork City Council, this colourful, fun-filled event is more than just a race – it’s a chance to get active, build camaraderie, and see Cork from a whole new perspective.

Why take part?

  • Team building – Strengthen bonds and boost morale
  • Unforgettable experience – A thrilling, fun-filled day on the water.
  • CSR Opportunity – Support Meitheal Mara, Cork’s community boatyard and maritime training centre. Your participation helps fund programmes that provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds, including those at risk of social exclusion.  As a registered charity (CHY 12929), your contribution towards this event is tax-deductible
