Community Employment (CE) Scheme (19.5 hr p wk) : Group Worker

Duties to include:  Assisting with the organising of group training sessions (outdoors rowing/paddling on the River Lee, etc, and onshore skills indoors in the training room and/or workshop. Assist in keeping records and in the development and promotion of Meitheal Mara’s water activities programmes through communication, networking and other activities as required.

Person specification:  Eligible for a CE Scheme (Ref: #CES-2033022). Good interpersonal communication skills. Ability and interest in working with young and vulnerable people in a team environment. Water confidence, rowing and/or paddling skills and an understanding of safety procedures. Managing equipment, stores and light boat maintenance. Willingness to attend power boat handling, dragon boat helming, first aid and water safety skills training as required. Basic computer skills – emailing, filing and photocopying, maintaining good telephone manner.

Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.

Community Employment (CE) Scheme (19.5 hr p wk) : Cleaner / Caretaker

Duties to include: cleaning and caretaking of canteen, toilets, offices, hall and stairs.  Maintaining hygiene standards.  Maintaining stocks of canteen and cleaning supplies.  Assisting in management of bins, waste and recycling. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Person specification:  Eligible for a CE Scheme (Ref: #CES-2033017). Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well on own initiative.
